John Lengemann graduated from Imlay City High School in 1959 and then attended the University of Michigan and graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He taught History and Coached Football and Baseball at Clio Area Schools until 1965 when he began his legal career by attending Wayne State University Law School. Mr. Lengemann graduated in 1968 with a Juris Doctor degree, Magna Cum Laude. He was the recipient of many academic honors in Law School and graduated ranked 2nd in the class of over 200 students.
After finishing law school he joined James D. Morrice and in 1969 formed the law firm of Morrice & Lengemann that is now known as Morrice, Lengemann & Miller P.C. In 1977 John Lengemann attended the National Institute for Trial Advocacy at Western Michigan University and completed the course of instruction. Subsequently he attended, and completed, a training seminar for Mediators in Family Law matters at the Institute for Continuing Education at the University of Michigan. He and his partner, Sally Miller, have formed Mediation Resolutions, PLC and are very active in mediating divorce, custody, child support, alimony and property division in cases referred to them by the local courts. Both have been extremely successful in resolving matters without the need for the parties to go to trial. Throughout his career Mr. Lengemann has represented numerous clients in such matters as wrongful death, automobile injuries, dog bites, real estate matters, criminal cases, drunk driving, divorce and other family law matters, probate and estate planning. Mr. Lengemann has been active in his community. He is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Michigan State Bar Association, the Lapeer County Bar Association and the Lapeer County Criminal Defense Bar Association. He is married to his wife, Maria-Luise, and has four children and nine grandchildren. Honors and Affiliations
